I've spent 13 years working in sustainability and finance — advising Fortune 500 companies, building reporting systems for global organizations, and even starting my own firm, which got acquired within 11 months. (Yes, the acquisition came with a tax bill that made me genuinely wince. Nothing teaches you about taxes quite like writing a big check to the IRS.)
